Toasty Toes

"Optimised for fair weather conditions, and eschewing its former flagship runner status in place for retro sneaker royalty, these light grey sneakers use NB’s classic new balance outlet velvety pigskin suede for the majority of the upper. But it leaves some room at the toe box and ankle collar to substitute out the usual mesh option for very crispy inserts of smooth nylon-canvas, presented here in golden yellow tones. Complementing this warm shade is an orange trim at the U-throat panel and heel counter edge, while oceanic blue washes behind the mid-foot N branding, heel MCD, and tongue embroidery.

click here have just released a gorgeous 997 from their GR offering. Proving that strong colour-blocking and key material choices are all that’s required for a killer pair of kicks, these 997s lean on bright shades and supple suedes.Remaining panels in the tongue, ankle strap, laces, and primary N logos are dipped in pure white. Even the ENCAP midsole, which is often rendered with a contrast heel unit to the forefoot, is one shade of blank. However, the outsole sticks to its usual black rubber. Super nice.

The startoriginals.com features a red base done up in a combination of premium suede and a ripstop nylon material that captures the look of the grid pattern found on the shirt. Green synthetic suede references the feel of a casino table’s felt and “00” and “36” are embroidered onto the heels as a nod to the first and last numbers on the roulette wheel. Additional features include a roulette wheel graphic on the tongue label, reflective 3M accents and co-branded lace plaques and sockliners. Last but not least, the left shoe sports one white dot to represent the roulette ball.

Derived from hip-hop fashion circa 1994 when Raekwon murdered the scene in a vintage Ralph Lauren Polo “Snow Beach” jacket in his Can It All Be So Simple video, saucony shoes looks to bring back a classic American theme in a dramatic way. As this teaser hints at a yellow and navy blue colorway, we expect to see nothing but the best in execution from this project. Are you dusting off your vintage “Snow Beach” jacket? Or better yet, could there be a “Snow Beach” capsule collection in the works as well?
