I have been seeing a lot of chatter that Pete Yanity is being replaced this coming football season with a new broadcaster. Anybody else hearing this?
-
Have not heard anything concrete or definitive as of yet. Keep us posted if you do hear anything.
-
WHAT!? how did this get started?
-
I just did a quick google search..did not come back with anything. Why would they replace him?
-
Why would they replace him?
-
Didn't he just get that job after replacing Jim Phillips? That wasn't that long ago.
-
I think Yanity replaced Jim in 2003. So it has been 11 years...
-
If this is true, wouldn't the question be who is replacing him? Would like to know the why as well.
-
If this is true, I am surprised Clemson has not released a statement, or that Tigernet has not caught wind of this. Who would they pick to replace him? I wouldn't mind Lawton Swann from CST.
-
+1 on letting Swann take the wheel.
-
Who else would they get to do ti though other than L. Swann? He already has his foot in the door with Clemson Sports Talk, and has the voice to so it.
Still want to know why they would replace yanity.
-
As of right now I am considering this chatter as strictly rumor mill until I hear or see additional on this. I have seen threads on multiple sites.
-
I think it would be nice to hear Swann behind the mic, but I doubt they would just remove him without having a good reason.

Well apparently the rumor was right. Don Munson is taking over for Pete Yanity. Just received the official CU athletics statement. This includes hosting the weekly football and basketball coaches shows.
