Florida Falls to FCS School Georgia Southern
« on: November 23, 2013, 05:47:20 PM »
Florida played the FCS school Georgia Southern from Statesboro, GA, who is in the Southern Conference, and GSU came out on top. They won 26-20. GSU had missed 2 PAT's and Florida had the ball in the red zone with 14 seconds left in the game. It was 3rd and goal and the QB threw it, but the receiver could not hang onto it. Florida then had a 4th and goal situation, and could not complete that pass either. With no timeouts left, the clock reached zero to give GSU the win.

GSU put over 350 yards on the ground against Florida, which has not been done since 2002, and Georgia Southern beat the SEC Florida team without ever completing a single pass.

This comes at a great time for GSU as they will move to the Sun Belt for the 2014 season.
