I bid on those at the last minute. Someone had a high bid amount because I put in a good amount, but still was outbid.

Back in 87 or 88 during fan appreciation day they had two tables with orange bowl pants for $12. They also had practice jerseys for sale. I was only 7, but my stepdad was a huge tiger fan. He went through all the practice jerseys and found classics #66 and #91. The 91 was repaired missing part of numbers. It was a good day to be a kid bringing home 2 OB pants, white pants, the 66 and 91.

Wow. Thats pretty cool. Wouldn't happen to have any pictures would ya?
-
Yeah, I would love to see some as well. Not too often you get to see stuff from that era of Clemson football.

82' Orange Bowl Pants

Micheal Dean Perry and William Perry Practice jerseys. They are wrapped on a canvas to show use. The 9 is missing a piece and has another piece of jersey mesh sewn to patch the hole. The 66 has a rip that is sewn up.
-
You wouldn't be willing to let go of any of those would you? Nice pieces though.
-
It is nice to see the older stuff. You do not see much of it anymore as it has either disappeared into collections or just lost to time.
-
Thanks for sharing. Like tiger man said it is nice to see the older jerseys and other game used items.
-
Doesn't anyone else see that massive hole in the first jersey? Lol what made that?
-
I remember seeing these guys play that year. If I had known about that fan day, I would have picked up a few.
Do those have the numbers on the shoulders or paws?
-
Very impressive. Thank you for sharing.
-
BTW the picture on the first post isn't working anymore! Still want a pair of these.
-
Same here. I have been keeping an eye out though.

If you guys are looking for the first orange pants (Orange Bowl), pay close attention if you come across any. The original orange bowls pants have the gold logo on the inside of Russell Athletic. The later edition of the same pants have an updated logo of RA that is like the present day logo still used today.
-
Thanks for the heads up. I have seen those logos before, but did not know what years they were used.
